Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa at Walt Disney World

Hello all! We just came back from a 5 day stay at the new Saratoga Springs resort. (look close at this picture, you can see the rainbow)

We are Disney Vacation club members (DVC) and decided to stay on property at this "new" resort just outside of the Downtown Disney area.

We made plans to stay the week of October 1. There was a lot of activity in the parks! The EPCOT Food & Wine festival was happening as well as the Not so scary Halloween party in Magic Kingdom. My youngest turned 7 years old on this trip and we were able to have his birthday "trick or treating" in Magic Kingdom until midnight. We also took a VMK tour, another great time. We saw a great show at EPCOT, The Commodores were playing and they really rocked the house. Lionel who?!

The hotel was really nice. It is very large and the way the property is laid out, the large pool and main house is easily accessible by the long walking bridge. Easy access to Downtown Disney, it would have been nice to have the view from my hotel room, maybe the next visit. The "BREAKFAST" menu in the main house was outstanding compared to the Boardwalk, Old Key West & Wilderness lodge. (I don't want emails about "The Flying Fish" & "Artist Point". No one is going to argue about Olivia's cafe!) The bus service was excellent. There were no other stops when we wanted to go to Magic Kingdom, the bus went straight to the park.

My wife & I went to eat a quite dinner at EPCOT one night in the French area restauant, Bistro de Paris. Really nice place! We had 7:30pm reservations, they seated us by the window and watched the 9:00 fireworks, a nice touch to end a great day.

First post!

Hello!

Sorry this took so long to write, we’ve been so busy over the past month. Let me introduce myself. My name is Bill and along with the rest of my family, we all are a bunch of Disney nut jobs!

The family and I go to Disney at least three times per year, for 05’ our first trip this year started for the July 4th week! My cousin and her family joined us for a few days, it was a excellent time!

We stayed in the Wilderness Lodge, What a beautiful hotel. A quick boat ride to Magic Kingdom “OR” you can take a small boat to the Contemporary Hotel and arrive in Monorail style!

The fireworks display that was put on at EPCOT was amazing. It made the entire trip.

For an added bonus, we also rented a Pontoon boat for 90 minutes. Another great thing to do.
